The mechanical pencil was invented in 1929 by an engineer in Geneva. It was marketed a year later by Caran d'Ache and became a worldwide success.
It is a special edition in an unpublished partnership with the Swiss-Argentine designer Alfredo Häberli, with a 2 mm thick lead and B hardness, and comes in a case with 4 watercolour leads (cobalt blue, emerald green, ochre and bigaro blue). Hexagonal aluminium body, light and resistant, coated with plum-coloured lacquer with a matt and glossy effect at the same time. Flexible metal clip, black push button with integrated sharpener. Design case reusable as a pencil case.
